🏅 Simon O’Donnell

Simon O’Donnell was born in Deniliquin in 1963 and developed into an international cricketer after also playing senior Australian rules football for St Kilda. His sporting range eventually gave way to a focus on cricket, where he became an effective one-day all-rounder for Australia. He was part of the team that won the 1987 World Cup. Deniliquin’s sporting history includes both his family’s football connections and the childhood cricket that preceded a career shared between two of Australia’s major summer and winter games.
